INTRODUCTION
Pakistan is an environmentally conscious country. The government of Pakistan has initiated several projects in order to tackle the impacts of climate change. The projects include the billion tree tsunami project, miyawaki urban forests, protected area management, bamboo production, etc. Pakistan has listed among the top 10 countries most affected by climate change. Climate change is showing severe impacts on the agriculture sector, economy, soil health, etc. Pakistan would become water scarce country by 2030. The pastoralist community is getting affected by climate change.
International Organization: This organization acts under international laws and formed by the agreements signed by various countries.
National Organization: This organization gets approval from a related department and works as a professional association.
Since the establishment of the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency, there are many international and national organizations working in the country. I am an American currently in Lahore and wish to establish bridges between U.S. and other countries to Pakistan. My main motivation is that my wife is Pakistani.
What is prompting me to write is the fact that the quality of life here in Pakistan around the cities in particular Lahore, is catastrophic and frankly horrible concerning the sickening Air Quality.
I am really baffled in knowing that Pakistan is among the top developing countries who has focused on educating its population better than other developing countries and have thousands of hard working people who have produced great wealthy.
What is shocking is that neither the wealthy, who are responsible for the pollution more than the common man, or the Government officials who are basically taking orders from the wealthy, appear to be doing nothing to improve air quality.
Air is the most important element for sustaining life. Water second, and food last. There is a focus to provide clean drinking water, but not clean Air. Why is this?
This morning the Air Quality index is 201 in Lahore, according to Accu Weather https://www.accuweather.com/en/pk/lahore/260622/air-quality-index/260622 which is one of the worst on the planet today. Islamabad is poor, but not as bad as Lahore. The only reason Karachi is not as bad, and classified as fair, is because it has the sea blowing its pollution inland.
My air filtering units have been staying Red all night and today–Green being safe, Red detrimental–and what looks to be fog outside, is pollution from burning crops or something.
It is a house that is on fire and for all the noise politicians are making on the News, I do not see anyone recognizing the emergency nature of pollution.
Pakistanis are a proud people, but this environmental condition and status is a disgrace and nothing to be proud of.

We are trying to create awareness through our platform, and trying our best, but unfortunately there is no effort by government to improve the air quality in our country.
