25 Species of Insects That Are Found In Pakistan

VIOLET CARPENTER BEE

Insects are tiny and sometimes annoying (we are talking about you, mosquitos), but most of them are extremely important for the environment. Insects like ants and beetles are cleaners of our environment and without them earth would be a dump of waste (it is sadly becoming so, thanks to non-biodegradable plastic waste). Insects that don’t clean up the environment, like bees and wasps etc., are also extremely important as they act as pollinators and ensure our earth keeps growing delicious fruits and vegetables for us to consume [Check out: Pollinator Decline of Bees – Causes, Effects and Solutions]. Also bees make honey!

Butterflies on the other hand are not only important for the environment but also very beautiful – sadly they are dying! To know more read: 10 Reason of Why Butterflies are Dying and How We Can Save Them. So it wouldn’t be wrong to say that a world without insects would be a very different place. Pakistan is a country rich in biodiversity and that includes insect biodiversity too. So today we bring you a list of some commonly found insects in Pakistan. Check it out.
