14 Day Exciting & Spectacular Islamabad- Shogran-Naran-Hunza-Skardu-Deosai-Astore Trip
DAY 1
Islamabad – Islamabad
- Islamabad is the capital of Pakistan and one of the greenest capitals in Asia. It is situated against the lush backdrop of the Margalla Hills
- Pick up from airport and meet our representative and drop at hotel rest.
- In evening, we will visit Faisal Mosque
- Pakistan Monument
- Lok Virsa. Lok Virsa Museum
- Daman-koh
- Dinner at Daman e Koh
- Night stay in Islamabad.
DAY 2
Islamabad – Shogran
- Islamabad – Shogran
- Breakfast 8 AM
- Departure from Islamabad at 9 AM.
- Short stay at Balakot riverside
- Move to Shogran Valley – a hill station
- Hotel check in and some rest
- 30 minutes off-road jeep ride to Paye Meadows, spend time in paye meadows.
- Back to Shogran on jeep
- Dinner and night stay at Shogran Valley
DAY 3
Shogran – Naran
- Breakfast 8 AM
- Moving towards Kaghan Valley.
- Short stop at Kiwai Waterfall
- Short stop at Kunhar river side
- Reach Naran
- Hotel Check in and some rest.
- You can go for River rafting and zipline in Naran.
- Visit Naran traditional Bazaar

DAY 4
Naran – Hunza (8 hour drive with scenic views and short stops)
- Breakfast 8 AM
- Moving towards Hunza
- Short stop at Battakundi Waterfall
- Short stop at Lulusar Lake (Almost 11,000 ft above sea level)
- Short stop at Babusar Top / Pass (Height of 13,691 feet above sea level)
- Short stop Nanga Parbat View point
- Short stop at Junction Point where 3 highest mountain ranges meet (Karakoram, Himalaya, Hindukush, and convergence point of Indus River and Gilgit River)
- Short stop at Rakaposhi view Point (27th highest peak on earth with 7,788 meter height.)
- Reach Hunza for Dinner & night stay.
DAY 5
Central Hunza
- Breakfast 8 AM
- Visit Altit Old settlement and Altit Fort. (The fort is around 1100 years old, and is a from UNESCO Heritage site)
- Visit traditional Karimabad Market
- Visit Baltit Fort (UNESCO World Heritage site and has beautiful view of mountain peaks, including Rakaposhi, Ultar, Golden Peak, and Diran Peak)
- Visit Eagle’s Nest View Point.
- Dinner & Night stay at Eagle Nest.
DAY 6
Upper Hunza
- Breakfast 8 AM
- Visit Attabad Lake
- Short stay Passu Cones View Point
- Visit Husseni Suspension bridge.
- Visit Borith Lake (Saline Lake) you can canoe, paddle boat, swim, sit beside the lake or to trek to Husseni Glacier or Passu Glacier.
- Dinner and Night Stay in Passu – Hunza
DAY 7
Pak-China border / Khunjerab Pass
- Breakfast 8 AM
- Move to visit Pakistan – China border (highest paved international border in the world, located at 15,397 feet above sea level)
- Short stop at Khunjerab National Park
- Short Stay at Khyber Village
- Short Stop at Sost (last village of Pakistan near China)
- Back to Passu, Dinner at Yak Grill
- Night Stay in Passu – Hunza (with bonfire and local cultural music and dance)





















DAY 8
Skardu Valley (Almost 6 hours drive with short stays) Skardu is situated at an average elevation of nearly 8,202 feet above sea level. It is gateway to several of the world’s highest mountains, including K2 the world’s second highest mountain.

- Move to Skardu Valley
- Short stop at Astak Stream for refreshments
- Dinner and night stay in Skardu.
DAY 9
Skardu (A unique place with highest Cold Desert, river and some of the highest mountains)
- Breakfast 8 AM
- Visit towards Shigar Valley
- Visit Sarfranga Cold Desert (you can do paragliding, ATV Bikes, Jeep Safari etc)
- Visit Shigar Fort (450-year-old Fort and 17th century King Palace)
- Visit Blind Lake (It is called Blind Lake as its water source and discharge are not apparent)
- Visit traditional Skardu market.
- Dinner and night stay in Skardu.
DAY 10
Skardu
- Breakfast 8 AM
- Visit Manthoka Waterfall (with green pastures with stream flowing around.
- We can either to visit Khaplu and Khaplu Fort or another breathtaking waterfall called Khamush waterfall.
- Dinner and night stay in Skardu.
DAY 11
Skardu
- Breakfast 8 AM
- Visit Shangrila Resort (It is located around a serene heart shaped lake)
- Visit beautiful Upper Kachura village
- Visit Upper Kachura Lake
- Visit Katpana cold desert. (Katpana Cold Desert is one of the highest deserts in the world,
- (7,303 ft) above sea level)
- Dinner & night stay in Skardu
Day 12
Deosai National Park (7-8 hrs jeep ride with stops)
(Deosai plateau is also called the “Roof of the Earth,” the world’s second-highest plateau, approximately (13,497 ft) above sea level. It is also a UNESCO Heritage site for the protection and conservation of the Himalayan Brown Bear.)

- Short stops at Sadpara Lake
- Stop at beautiful Sheosar Lake (Natural Heart Shaped Lake).
- Short stop at kalapani (black water stream)
- Reach Astore
- Dinner and Night stay in Astore.
Day 13
Astore Valley
- Breakfast 8 AM
- Visit Rama Valley
- Rama meadows
- Visit Rama Lake (almost 30-40 min trek. Horse riding also available)
- Visit Nanga Parbat base camp for closer view (Nanga Parbat: The Killer Mountain (9th highest mountain on Earth and its summit is at 26,660 ft above sea level)
- Dinner and night stay in Naran.
Day 14
- Early morning Off-road Jeep ride to Saif ul Mulook Lake (almost 1 hour jeep ride)
- Back to Naran
- Breakfast
- Pack up and move back towards Islamabad
- Dinner and night stay in Islamabad.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Our Partnered Company: Our travel Company and guides are registered with the Government of Pakistan.
- Flight ticket: It is important to purchase your flight ticket(s) as soon as possible after the guaranteed departure.
- If you do not want to travel via bus on long routes such as Islamabad to Skardu and Gilgit to Islamabad, you can also purchase the domestic flight tickets of Islamabad to Skardu – Gilgit to Islamabad through our office. You have to pay beforehand for the domestic flights when booking the trip.
- Domestic Air Ticket of Islamabad to Skardu cost appox. PKR 35000. Air Ticket of Gilgit to Islamabad cost appox. PKR 35000.
- Travel on long routes (Islamabad to Skardu and Gilgit to Islamabad) in Pakistan by plane is recommended. But you can also take our basic package and travel by road (as mentioned in the travel plan above)
- Disclaimer: If the domestic flights are canceled due to weather or any other reasons, you will have to travel these sections by road.
- Add On Services: You can also add extra services in your plan such as mountain hiking with experienced hiking guides. (Extra charges will be applied on add on services)
- Tour Extensions: If you have more time available, why not arrive early to adjust to a new time zone or just to get a feel for the country before your tour starts? Alternatively, you may choose to allow a few extra days after the tour to relax or to undertake some further exploration. The choice is completely yours and we can usually arrange anything from simply additional accommodation and transfers to full tailor-made itineraries. Please contact us for more details and to discuss your requirements. For example Why not add a 3 day extension in Lahore onto your Pakistan tour, and soak up the atmosphere, historical majesty and faded elegance of the Mughal and Raj eras, along with the bustling street life of Pakistan’s traditional capital.
Accommodation:
- During the trip, stay will be in high-quality mountain hotels or guesthouses on double sharing or quad sharing depending on the family/group. Names and relevant information regarding the hotels can be provided on demand.
𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠:
- Be prepared for the unpredictable mountainous weather – usually dry but sometimes rainy, sometimes very hot and sometimes cool and windy.
- Passport (Compulsory)
- Clothing: Bring a hat, light gloves, raincoat, sunglasses, and warmer clothes for colder evenings (jackets/shawls), light clothing for warmer days (T shirts/light trousers etc).
- Good Joggers / training shoes / hiking sandals are suitable for the trip.
- The UV radiation is very strong in the mountains, even in cloudy weather, so the risk of sunburn is high! Good High factor (SPF 50+) sunscreen, lip balm and moisturizer are absolutely necessary.

Hygiene:
- Tap water is not drinkable so do not drink tap water while traveling, but bottled water is available everywhere. It is worth bringing a basic health package of your own choice (diarrhea and nausea medicines, adhesive plasters, etc.).
Things to Consider While Traveling To Pakistan:
- While traveling we have to be mindful of Local Customs / Culture: Pakistanis are very friendly and vibrant people, but still Pakistan is a Muslim country and has its own customs and culture. Dressing modestly is important wearing short shorts or miniskirts is not recommended for women. Wearing trousers, jogger pants, T-shirts is totally okay. Head scarves /head covering are not compulsory or necessary for women.
- Avoid PDA (public displays of affection)
- Alcohol or any kind of recreational drugs are illegal in Pakistan.
- While visiting mosques or other religious places head scarf for women and trousers for men will be necessary, everyone will be guided by our tour manager / guide beforehand.
Travel Insurance:
We suggest you to obtain suitable travel insurance, from a reputable provider, which should at least include Emergency Medical Expenses including amongst other costs; ambulance charges, and repatriation. There are other elements of Travel Insurance that you might also wish to include: Cancellation of your trip or Curtailment; Personal Liability, Travel and Transfer Delays, Baggage and Legal Expenses plus many more. Additionally, you should also check your policy’s cancellation cover limits and consider topping up the amount covered if desired.

- 31 or more days before the trip starts, 10% cancellation charges of the advanced amount apply.
- No amount will be refunded if any person leaves the trip at any stage due to any reason.
